Zithromax is a prescription macrolide antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory, skin and ear. 

Indication : 

* Respiratory infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)
* Skin and soft tissue infections (wounds, abscesses)
* Urogenital infections
* Certain gastrointestinal infections
* Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections
* Babesiosis, a blood parasite infection, typically in combination with other medications
* Viral papillomas (viral warts), though this use is considered controversial 

Side Effects: Common side effects often involve the digestive system and include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.

Use with caution in dogs with liver issues, as the drug is primarily eliminated via the liver.

Drug Interactions: Azithromycin can interact with other medications, including certain heart medicines, antacids, and antifungals. Inform your veterinarian of all medications and supplements your dog is taking.
