Leflunomide is a prescribed immunosuppressive drug that reduces immune system activity. It functions by blocking the formation of T-cells and B-cells, key components of the immune response.
Indications:
20mg film coated tablets are occasionally prescribed for dogs to manage immune-mediated conditions such as hemolytic anemia (IMHA), polyarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, it is used in treating systemic histiocytosis, a rare disorder involving abnormal immune cell proliferation. By modulating the immune response, helps reduce inflammation and tissue damage associated with these diseases, supporting improved clinical outcomes under veterinary supervision.
Precautionary Notes
