Features:

Leflunomide is a prescribed immunosuppressive drug that reduces immune system activity. It functions by blocking the formation of T-cells and B-cells, key components of the immune response.

Indications: 

Apo-leflunomide 20mg tablets are occasionally prescribed for dogs to manage immune-mediated conditions such as hemolytic anemia (IMHA), polyarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, it is used in treating systemic histiocytosis, a rare disorder involving abnormal immune cell proliferation. By modulating the immune response, leflunomide helps reduce inflammation and tissue damage associated with these diseases, supporting improved clinical outcomes under veterinary supervision.

Precautionary Notes

Tablets should be given whole and must not be crushed or split. When handling this medication, gloves are required, and it must not be used in households with pregnant or nursing individuals.
